The Career Services priority is to work with "its customers" to enable them to develop their own opportunities, while ensuring that they have access to information relevant to their professional interests

Services for PhD students

Services provided for CEU students and alumni:

  • Guidance – workshops, coaching, individual meetings with the purpose of assisting students and graduates in job hunting (job search tips, CV/Cover Letter consultations, Networking & Interviewing skills), Alumni Career Mentoring Network
  • Resources – career guides and casebooks, reference books and literature on individual employers, brochures, CV/Cover letter handouts, useful Internet resources.
  • Jobs / internships / career related information Career Shared Folders in your e-mail box (GroupWise system based, username and password required), Vacancies website, CEU and external events.
  • CEU PhD Job Market - Special website created for introducing PhD graduates and candidates from Central European University in Budapest, currently interested in being considered for professional and academic employment or research co-operation with international institutions.
  • Resume Book - Compiled every year around March-April, the Resume Book is an excellent chance for you, as CEU student or graduate, to be noticed by recruiters. The collection is made available to 300-400 local and international employers that the Career Services Office is in touch with.
  • Events – organized all along the academic year, in order to help students explore their career options. Company presentations and the annual Career Fair and NGO Fair (organized together with Human RightS Initiative) are the most popular events.
